Girls Night In

November 19, 2008

After a hard week's work, I was ready for a serious pampering session. On Friday evening, I filled the bath and added a few drops of frankinsence oil for relaxation. I applied a thick layer of Rodial A-List Cleanser on my face and left it on for 10 minutes to deeply cleanse and pamper my skin. After a relaxing soak, I applied a thick layer of Rodial Creme de la Creme, especially on legs and feet, Rodial Tummy Tuck on my tummy and a thin layer of our latest Glamtox Peel on my face to get rid of the top layers of my skin (together with all the past week's stress). After a half an hour beauty ritual (which felt as good as a session at the Four Seasons Spa), I felt relaxed, invigorated and ready for a good nights sleep!

Quality over Quantity

November 11, 2008

In recent years, fashion trends have focused upon cheap, cheerful pieces that have a very limited shelf life. This weekend I read an article that stated this trend is heading out of the window, to be replaced by the need to purchase good quality garments that will stride a number of seasons, not just last a week. This news brought me joy; I’ve always been a fan of a superior fabrics and good cuts. There is one downside to purchasing dainty silk and cashmere pieces though, and that’s the aftercare. How does one keep these items looking great for as long as possible? My secret is the Tocca Laundry Delicate range – these wonderfully scented fabric washes provide the perfect solution. I’m also planning to purchase some divine Gianna Rose Atelier scented drawer liners and sachets, to keep everything smelling sweeter for longer!

Halloween Fun

November 04, 2008

As half term drew to a close this weekend the children got to celebrate with a wonderful Halloween party thrown by Louis Vuitton, in aid of CLIC Sargent Care, in the Sloane Street store. This was no ordinary Halloween party – for once I didn’t have to stress about finding an outfit for the boys, or getting them out of the house all dressed up. Instead we arrived at the party in our normal clothes and they were able to choose an outfit from a selection available in store. There were face painters and cookie decorating tasks to keep the kids entertained, while I sipped on the champagne and cranberry cocktails among celebrity mums Trinny Woodall, Kim Hersov and Heather Kerzner. A fun time was had by all and it was the perfect way to round up half term!
