Transatlantic  Call

October 28, 2008

Last week, was a busy one, I jetted across the world, making a trip to Dubai, then on to Hong Kong and finally back to London. All work and no pleasure this time though, for I was in Dubai to launch Boob Job and Hong Kong to launch the range in a the fabulous store, Joyce.

In Dubai Rodial is exclusively stocked in the uber-influential fashion and beauty store Boutique 1. This beautiful concept store stocks the likes of Halston, Missoni and Oscar de la Renta and Rodial has pride of place in the exclusive beauty hall. There I did back to back press appointments and photo shoots, while lunching on hummus and pitta bread. In the evening my team in Dubai organised a private dinner for me and we dined on delicious tagines! It was all so decadent.

After two busy days, I flew to Hong Kong, where my first stop was Joyce. Joyce is a very high-end 5-store chain of boutiques that sell the most cutting edge designers from Marni to Balenciaga. They organised a fantastic event where I presented the range to their VIP customers in the stylish pool room at the city’s Grand Hyatt. I met 40 of Hong Kong’s most influential and chic ladies who went mad for Boob Job, Tummy Tuck and Glamtox SPF18. Our Boob Job product already has a waiting list with the customers and they will no doubt be thrilled when product arrives for this week.

Babies, Books and Art

October 14, 2008

Last week I supported my good friend Yana Peel at the launch of her latest project. Yana, who founded Outset, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to supporting new art, has been hard at work creating a fabulous art book for babies. Not only is this great book, named Art for Baby, a unique selection of images to aid the visual skills of your little ones, but it is also helping a charitable cause. A donation from the sale of each book will be given to the NSPCC.The launch was held at the very elegant Sienna Café in Selfridges, where we sipped rose tea and munched on mini muffins.

Bonjour!

October 07, 2008

The week I’ve been in Paris for the Beyond Beauty Trade Show. However, when away from London, I try to ensure that it’s not all work, and make sure I have a little fun!

Paris is a fabulous city, and I made my stay even more enjoyable by booking a room at the Hotel Costes, where the weather was dry enough to allow me to enjoy my breakfast in its exquisite courtyard.

I also managed to squeeze in some shopping time, I popped to Le Bon Marche, where Rodial is stocked, to check out our merchandising and while I was there I purchased some wonderful Christian Louboutin boots.

I had dinner with colleagues at a crazy restaurant called L’Incroyable, which offers an unusual take on French cuisine with the likes of coca cola vinaigrette and foie gras bonbons on the menu!

Bon Appetite!
