Credit Crunch Chic

September 29, 2008

In today’s current economical climate, it pays to find new ways to save our pennies. However, pulling your purse strings needn’t mean losing all sense of style. I’ve put together a little list of things that I’ve been doing to beat the credit crunch!

Don’t take your clothes to the dry cleaner after every wear – hang dainty little scent bags in your wardrobe, this will keep your clothes fresher for longer.

Forget expensive massages, instead take some time out, light a NEOM candle and meditate for thirty minutes. Not only will you feel relaxed and rejuvenated, but you’ll have saved some money too!

Big function up ahead? Don’t splurge on a whole new outfit – purchase a fab new accessory, like a new pair of heels or a statement necklace, this will reinvent your trusty LBD and your feel just as fab for less!I have a habit of purchasing costly herbs from my local organic grocer.

However, I’m curbing this expensive habit by nurturing an herb-box on my kitchen windowsill. It’s also highly therapeutic and I am feeling a real sense of achievement.

Rather than heading out to restaurants with friends each night, I’m opting to stay home these days. This doesn’t mean I’m darning socks in front of the television – in fact, entertaining at home is a fabulously glamorous way to beat the crunch.

However, there are some things that you simply can’t scrimp on, and that’s skincare. No matter how ghastly the state of the economy gets, I can’t justify not investing in great beauty products, you are guaranteed to look and feel your very best if you do. If I could only indulge on one thing, it would be Rodial Glamotox it makes my skin look and feel amazing. I know a few ladies who have ditched pricey botox injections and are stocking up on this Rodial wonder product instead!
