Gisele shine's at the Institute Gala in NYC

Last night all the stars were out in force for the Annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York. This is one of the glitziest events in the fashion calendar and the celebs did not disappoint with their colourful array of gorgeous couture.

Victoria Beckham glowed in a Marc Jacobs mini dress, Kate Beckinsale looked breath-taking in  a feathered Marchesa gown, whilst Leighton Meester rocked an eclectic Louis Vuitton jumpsuit.

But for me it was Brazilian beauty Gisele who stole the show in her sparkly blue Versace mini dress. I think she epitomises natural beauty with her glossy hair, toned body and all-year bronze glow, and she does so with a little help from Rodial. Gisele adores Rodial’s Brazilian Tan light as it gives her that sun-kissed, caramel glow she has become famous for. So for bronzed pins like Gisele, go get your fix of Brazilian beautifulness here.

Cannes film festival

So, it is that time of year again when Hollywood’s elite jet set over to Cannes for the film festival extravaganza of the year. I have been to Cannes a few times, and it is such a gorgeous place to visit. I always book in to The Majestic Barriere- the rooms have the most amazing views overlooking the Mediterranean. Another of my favourite spots is Le Baoli- it is an exotic restaurant and nightclub with stunning waterside views. The food is incredible, a fusion of Japanese, Chinese and French cuisine. At this time of year the weather is perfect and it is a great place to people-watch, as you’re bound to spot a few celebrities!

The pictures from this year’s festival look great so far- and as usual the fashion on the red-carpet never fails to live up to its glamorous expectations. I especially loved Penelope Cruz’s lilac floor-length Marchesa gown. Her nude Dole and Gabbana number is also bang on trend this summer. Nude hues look great on subtly bronzed skin, so this summer I will defiantly be slathering on Rodial's Brazilian Tan Daily- it is not only a luscious body cream, it also contains a hint of self-tan to give a sexy bronze tint, just like Penelope's!

Rodial's 8th Anniversary Party in NYC

The past few days have been a bit of a whirlwind for me. On Sunday night I flew over to NYC to celebrate Rodial’s 8th year anniversary-how time flies! My team in the US did a wonderful job of organising everything and threw a fantastic party at trendy, downtown restaurant La Esquina- it was an amazing turn out!
The venue was great, a real little hidden gem, the decor was opulent with a quirky edge and the traditional Mexican food was delicious! The place was jam-packed with New York’s elite and beauty industry insiders. It was great to catch up with Andrea Pomerantz Lustig- the editor at Glamour, Sarah Brown, the editor at Vogue, socialite Jules Kirby, and writer Tatiana Boncompagni. There were plenty of other familiar faces too, and everyone had a great time gossiping over glasses of champagne-it was a fun time had by all.
