The 5th Rodial Beautiful Awards

5th Annual Rodial Beautiful Awards - Inside

Last night was our 5th Rodial Beautiful Awards. It was an amazing night, the best yet!

I would like to start with saying a huge thank you to the amazing panel, as each one really helped us showcase the best and most beautiful winners. The panel this year was a mix of designers, makeup artists, models and dear friends.

A big congratulations to all our worthy winners, each one of you helped us to celebrate the beautiful and talented individuals and publications within the beauty industry. Jameela Jamil, our ‘Most Edgy Look’ winner looked super stylish as always, in an all-white Topshop skirt suit with a light pink Lulu Guinness clutch and suede platforms. Our ‘Most Stylish’ award was bagged by no other then the stunning Pixie Lott, she lived up to her award by turning heads in a black mini Saint Laurent ra-ra dress, and she looked fabulous.

My best dressed has to be our big winner of the night, ‘The Woman of the Year’, Daisy Lowe. She wowed in a two piece that showcased her figure perfectly, creating both a demure and sexy look. The sensational two piece was vintage by legendary fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa.

I wore a floor length strapless red vintage Halston gown from Decadesinc. I teamed the dress with my hair in loose curls, red wedges and gold cuffs. I felt wonderful.

I cannot help but mention what a fantastic job Laura Whitmore did presenting our awards this year. She was full of energy, fun and most of all a very funny beautiful lady. We thank you Laura!

An extremely successful night to celebrate our 5th Beautiful Awards, now we will look forward to next year!

I am so excited to tell you all about the launch of our new website, it has been a project we have been working on for almost a year and I cannot believe we have made it!

I love the new sleek design and clean lines that take the shopping experience to another level. My favourite areas of the site, and hope they will be yours too, are the Celeb Secrets page, where you can discover what products your favourite a-list stars cannot live without, and the Prescription Pages, where I have curated targeted treatments for specific skin concerns, meaning shopping for your skincare regime has never been easier.

I also adore the new makeup section and can’t wait to share with you all our exciting make up launches planned for 2014!

ELLE STYLE AWARDS 2014

The Elle Style Awards is always a glamorous event packed with endless stars, with everyone from the fashion and beauty industry present. Last night was no different with stars pulling out their best frocks and suits to hit the red carpet.

There is always an exciting buzz inside the awards, with the flow of cocktails and champagne being non-stop. My best dressed star was Suki Waterhouse who bagged ‘The Model of the Year’ award. She dazzled in a floor length Burberry panel dress, looking sexy but understated. Her make-up was flawless with smokey black eyes, dusted pink cheekbones and soft pink lips.

It was a great night, I can’t wait for next year!

2014 Golden Globes

I was glued to the live coverage of the Golden Globes last night,as usual the fashion did not disappoint. I have to say that I loved the fact that people were taking fresh and interesting risks on the red carpet.

Julia Roberts and Zoe Saldana broke the mold of the typical awards ceremony dress which I really liked, however my best dressed of the night has to be Emma Watson in Dior! I loved the fact that Emma took a huge risk by pairing a blood orange chiffon dress with a pair of black cigarette pants, the look was bold and eye-catching on the red carpet. Kate Beckinsale was another of my top picks, as usual she looked gorgeous in a metallic silver mermaid style gown.

I have to mention huge NIP+FAB fan Amber Heard who looked amazing in midnight blue, along with ultra sculpted legs!

Vogue – February Issue

georgia_may

Georgia May Jagger is the latest cover star of this month’s Vogue Magazine. No wonder she has made it on the cover, she has blossomed in her modelling career over the past few years.

She looks effortlessly beautiful, not  hard for a 21 year old who is the daughter of a rock star!

Are you wanting to achieve this look? I believe that your skin needs to be at its best for your makeup to glow and have that ‘no makeup, makeup’ look.

The Stemcell Superfood products are great to make sure your skin is looking hydrated and nourished in the winter months. I cannot live without the range and the Stemcell Super-food Facial Oil is my star product to use before applying my make up!

Vogue – January Issue

cara_vogue

The new issue of Vogue is now on the shelves and I am sure it has flown out of the shops. Why is that? Cara Delevingne once again graces us with her presence on the front cover!

Cara has excited the modelling world with her intriguing personality, kooky style and her amazing eyebrows! Buy Vogue now to check out the exclusive interview of how it all began and of course look at the beautiful photographs of Cara.

She is one of my favourite models and you will fall in love with her even more once you read the interview.

British Fashion Awards

Last night I had a fabulous evening at the British Fashion Awards. Rodial has always been a big supporter of British Fashion, highlighted by our recent collaboration with Mary Katrantzou, and it was great to go and show my support for established brands and new up-and-coming designers.

As you can imagine, the fashion was another level! Rita Ora went Hollywood glam in a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood gown, whilst Sienna Miller looked stunning in a emerald Burberry creation. Naturally, I wore Mary Katrantzou accessorized with a gold Lara Bohnic clutch. Highlight of the night was Kate Moss receiving the Special Recognition Award presented by Marc Jacobs with the epic line,  ‘London might have two Kates, but in my mind there is only one.’

A fabulous evening!

Claridges Christmas Tree Unveiling

I look forward to the unveiling of the Christmas tree at Claridges every year and this year was definitely no exception! The Christmas tree this year is designed by Dolce & Gabbana and is absolutely gorgeous.

I headed down to the launch event of the unveiling on Tuesday evening, it was a star studded event with David Gandy, Oliver Cheshire, Pixie Lott and Eva Herzigova (pictured left with Stefano Gabbana) attended. Eva was best dressed on the evening wearing a Dolce & Gabbana red dotted classy dress.

Make sure you go down to look at the D&G Christmas Tree in Claridges elegant entrance hall.

Carven Boutique Launch

Last night I was invited to the Carven Launch Party which was hosted by Creative Director Guillaume Henry. It was at the beautiful Michellin starred restaurant, Bibendum in Chelsea.

The evening was to celebrate the launch of the first UK Boutique which will be on Pelham Street. The theme of the evening was Paris meets London, with a Pearly black cab parked up in the venue as a centre piece. There were also Parisian canapés such as mini steaks and oysters, to top it all off there was champagne jelly in the shape of the Arc de Triomphe – magnificent!

In the theme of the evening, I wore my favourite English designer – Henry Holland (image left).

Merci to Carven for a truly lovely evening!

Harpers Bazaar Women of the Year Awards

Claridges held host to the Harpers Bazaar Women of the Year Awards last night, the star studded event had attendance from A-List stars such as Cate Blanchett, Rita Ora, Naomi Harris and Victoria Beckham.

The venue was gorgeous, the champagne was flowing and the winners looked amazing in their gowns. In particular, Victoria Beckham  looked stunning in a simple sophisticated full length black dress and completed her look with a smokey eye and dazzling diamond earrings! Victoria was even accompanied by her son, Brooklyn Beckham, who was looking handsome in a two piece suit and skinny black tie!

Overall, the evening was really fun and it was great to see the awards going to well-deserved hardworking women.
