Cougar Skin

cougar-groupThis month we launched the Cougar Skin range and I couldn’t be more excited.  The Cougar Skin Range consists of three innovative products, The Cougar Skin Gravity Cream, the Gravity Booster and the Gravity Body Serum. The theory behind cougar is that ageing is caused by a drop in hormones. Our oestrogen levels drop dramatically from the age of 35 causing lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. The cougar range contains phytosteroids that trick the skin into thinking that is being injected with oestrogen. As a result the skin is pumped with collagen and becomes firm with a rosy glow. The range is also packed with retinol and vitamin D.

I’ve been using all three and really loving the results. My favourite is the Cougar Skin Zero Gravity Cream, it works to rebalance the skin – it makes me look as if I just had a good nights sleep. Chromabright works to break down age spots and even the skin tone for an even flawless complexion. This cream is ideal for a number of different skin tones to smooth any signs of ageing out, whilst hydrating the skin creating an even flawless finish.

Cougar or not this range is a must, give it try you won’t regret it.

My Top 5 Spring Essentials

Spring is finally here, for me that means one thing spring wardrobe time! There are a number of must have essentials I count on through spring and summer.

My Top 5 Spring essentials

  1. My boyfriend jeans. During spring when it’s not quite warm enough to bare my legs. I love how versatile boyfriend jeans can be. I dress them down over the weekends with jewelled flat sandals and then with courts and cool graphic shirts to meetings. Perfect jeans for any occasion. Super stylish & comfy.
  2. My sunglasses are attached to me at all times. I mix up the style depending on my outfit that day. Although my favourite shape has to be the Aviator, they are stylish and go with everything.
  3. Rodial Instaglam is my favourite tinted moisturiser, during spring I don’t like to cake my face with foundation. I find Instaglam light weight, easy to apply and gives my skin an even flawless finish.
  4. I have a few firm favourites when it comes to shoe styles. Wedges are great for spring; you can wear them with pretty much anything. I wear them in the office and then out for dinner and I’m not suffering the next day like you do with stilettos. I have my eye on a number of cork style wedges for summer.
  5. Rodial Brazilian Tan Dark, all you need is one layer and your skin glows. Perfect spring essential, when you’re on the go like me there isn’t always time for laying in the sun.

Have a great weekend everyone!

The 5th Rodial Beautiful Awards

5th Annual Rodial Beautiful Awards - Inside

Last night was our 5th Rodial Beautiful Awards. It was an amazing night, the best yet!

I would like to start with saying a huge thank you to the amazing panel, as each one really helped us showcase the best and most beautiful winners. The panel this year was a mix of designers, makeup artists, models and dear friends.

A big congratulations to all our worthy winners, each one of you helped us to celebrate the beautiful and talented individuals and publications within the beauty industry. Jameela Jamil, our ‘Most Edgy Look’ winner looked super stylish as always, in an all-white Topshop skirt suit with a light pink Lulu Guinness clutch and suede platforms. Our ‘Most Stylish’ award was bagged by no other then the stunning Pixie Lott, she lived up to her award by turning heads in a black mini Saint Laurent ra-ra dress, and she looked fabulous.

My best dressed has to be our big winner of the night, ‘The Woman of the Year’, Daisy Lowe. She wowed in a two piece that showcased her figure perfectly, creating both a demure and sexy look. The sensational two piece was vintage by legendary fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa.

I wore a floor length strapless red vintage Halston gown from Decadesinc. I teamed the dress with my hair in loose curls, red wedges and gold cuffs. I felt wonderful.

I cannot help but mention what a fantastic job Laura Whitmore did presenting our awards this year. She was full of energy, fun and most of all a very funny beautiful lady. We thank you Laura!

An extremely successful night to celebrate our 5th Beautiful Awards, now we will look forward to next year!

Welcome to the new Rodial website…

I am so excited to tell you all about the launch of our new website, it has been a project we have been working on for almost a year and I cannot believe we have made it!

I love the new sleek design and clean lines that take the shopping experience to another level. My favourite areas of the site, and hope they will be yours too, are the Celeb Secrets page, where you can discover what products your favourite a-list stars cannot live without, and the Prescription Pages, where I have curated targeted treatments for specific skin concerns, meaning shopping for your skincare regime has never been easier.

I also adore the new makeup section and can’t wait to share with you all our exciting make up launches planned for 2014!

STEMCELL Super-Food Cleanser

Right now, every item of our STEMCELL Super-Food range is doing my skin wonders. This range is all about feeding and nourishing the skin, and giving it the right ingredients it needs to glow!

STEMCELL Super-Food Cleanser has become one of my essentials that I can’t  live without. Every woman needs a cleanser that they can rely on, for it to cleanse, feed the skin, and nourish it with all the right nutrients.

Why STEMCELL Super-Food Cleanser

Firstly, the ingredients play a crucial part. The vitalising mix of super-foods, high tech Alp Rose stemcells and 3D hyaluronic filling spheres are all key to revealing younger looking skin.

When I am looking for a cleanser, I look for a solution that takes away the dead skin without damaging the rest of it. I massage the STEMCELL formula onto my skin using the muslin cloth, as this gently exfoliates, enabling a youthful, glowing complexion to shine through. I also use this cleanser as a mask to detoxify my face. Applying a thick layer, leave it on the skin for 10-15 minutes, and then wash away to reveal silky soft skin.

I’m always on the go, so I am hooked on this to keep my skin looking great!

00010h_592x888Mary Katrantzou showcased her A/W collection on Sunday. I’m a huge fan of Mary’s designs and frequently wear her creations. Famously known for her natural ability to make huge bold striking patterns work, teaming together colours and shapes not traditionally put together and somehow she makes it work, and I love it.

This season Mary decided to make a few changes to her usual style and approach to designing, rightly so as the best designers always experiment to break into new ground.  Experimenting with a more muted colour palette this season, which gave a more grown up feel, and seemed to give the sense that this is the start of a new generation for Mary. Not to totally stop the colour, there were still injections of colour baby blue, deep red, forest green all feature throughout the collection.

The real unique and spectacular thing about this collection is the complex construction process used. Mary has used a number of technical processes including bonding, laminates and embossing. Her use of jersey in full length gowns as a platform for the embroidery is really clever and takes great skill.

I love this collection, it shows a different spin to Mary Katrantzou’s design ability and fashion design flair. Congratulations on a diverse new collection Mary!

The Elle Style Awards is always a glamorous event packed with endless stars, with everyone from the fashion and beauty industry present. Last night was no different with stars pulling out their best frocks and suits to hit the red carpet.

There is always an exciting buzz inside the awards, with the flow of cocktails and champagne being non-stop. My best dressed star was Suki Waterhouse who bagged ‘The Model of the Year’ award. She dazzled in a floor length Burberry panel dress, looking sexy but understated. Her make-up was flawless with smokey black eyes, dusted pink cheekbones and soft pink lips.

It was a great night, I can’t wait for next year!

On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend Henry Holland’s House of Holland A/W 2014 show.

The collection was called “Debauched Debutantes” resembling the 1989 house scene look.  His collection was spectacularly loud and vibrant as always. The collection featured full metallic skirts, quilted sequin jackets, structured full collars and injections of his signature prints. Lots of the pieces where bold and most defiantly made a statement.

My favourite look was the Metallic blue trousers; Henry teamed them with a long quilted style bomber jacket. I love this look as it’s very glamorous but also very wearable. Very well done Henry, another triumph. The whole collection is original, bold and glamorous.

Julien Macdonald’s show was fabulous, and did not disappoint.

The endless different style dresses Julien included were extremely impressive. Each dress was very unique and the show was a pleasure to watch. The models looked incredible with their hair pulled back into a messy ponytail, so all eyes were on the dresses. The collection included a number of different style dresses mini, floor length, one shoulder, thigh high splits and geometric panelling where used frequently. One thing all the dresses had in common they where dripping –with-beading and metallic embroidery. The amount of work man-ship that went into this collection was clear.

It’s hard to choose my favourite dress as I truly loved the whole collection. But I think it will have to be this dress. I love the shape; classic fitted to the knee, with sheer panelling through the front, heavy black and silver embroidery mirroring fragments of broken glass and crystallizing ice.

I cannot wait to see some of Julien’s creations on the red carpet. I don’t think it will take long, with the Oscars coming up!

New York Fashion Week: Victoria Beckham

New York fashion week is now in full swing, we have seen some incredible pieces walk the runway so far. I have fallen in love with Victoria Beckham’s A/W 2014 collection. The collection still screams her classic style but she has moved away from her signature fitted dresses and introduced some bold shapes. Cocoon jackets, ruffled tunics and body-swamping gilets are my favourite looks. Trousers also made a strong showing in loose, below-the-knee versions, a shape I have loved this season.

One front row outfit on everyone’s minds was Harper Beckham. She looked adorable sitting on David’s lap in a pleated green shift dress. I can’t wait for London Fashion Week to kick off so I can start planning my wardrobe essentials!
