Why We Love Baking... And We Don't Mean Cakes

By now you should already be familiar with contouring, and are probably now at the point of wrapping your head around strobing, but now "baking," or "cooking" your makeup is making itself a part of the mix, cropping up on Instagram and Youtube. Don’t be alarmed, this definitely doesn’t involve any cooking of make-up in the oven or microwave!

Baking Makeup

‘Baking’ in this case refers to letting powder (our NEW Banana Powder is ideal for this) sit on your face for five to 10 minutes, which allows the natural heat from your face to set your base foundation and concealer for you. The next step is dusting it off your face, leaving you with a crease-free, flawless finish. (Kim Kardashian's makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic uses it on her so you know it works.) And don’t be alarmed, baking is not as extreme as it sounds, it is actually a buildable technique that can be done in a natural way. The result? A beautiful matte highlighted complexion. If you really want to enhance your sculpted, contoured, look, then bake your makeup on top of your contouring powder.
